2009 IGA Legislative Review

2009 has seen a flurry of legislation that would affect IGA members. Listed below are bills currently being debated in the United States. Please note: not all legislation presented here is positive to our industry. In addition, this year we have started to see legislation that is described as consumer choice legislation but has been cleverly disguised to weaken existing protections.
Please review any legislation currently being debated in your state. Then contact your representatives and make it known that you are monitoring such legislation. Tell them your desires and educate them on the unique characteristics of the auto glass industry.
IGA also recommends members review all legislation regardless if it has been wrien in your state. There are advantages to monitoring the trends in other parts of the country.
